So I turned in a paper that I did not sleep 30 plus hours to write and my result is .

I put so much effort in the paper: stalking the members of AZI, calling people all over the city,
walking the streets of North & South Philadelphia. For what? To be outshined by auto correction.

While writing the paper, I spent 5 percent of my time fighting with the Microsoft’s Auto Correction to
get to class and realize that the paper I had to turned in had typos, courtesy of Auto Correction.

I have no more words just .

Let me start off this post by stating I have a lot of respect for my university and its professors.

Yesterday, I posted a blog with the intentions of making fun of myself in a stressful situation. However, my attempts fail short and turned into a disrespectful attack against my professor.

Sometimes, you have to look at yourself and realize you are wrong. After further review of the blog,
I had to step back and humble myself. I realize that I was wrong and I apologize to anyone who was offend by the blog.

Let me make this clear, Temple University has some of the best professors…period. Please do not let my rant about graduate school or my jokes get confused, I have a gained alot respect for the people here.

I am sorry!

If you like your hair do not go to graduate school. It will make you want to pull your hair out.

If you did not know, graduate school is not like undergraduate. They force you to succeed or fail miserably, depends on how you look at. In graduate school, you can not get less than B-. In most cases, you can earn a couple grades below a B- but if you get two many then they will kick you out. THE BOOT!!!

So I’m going crazy. I don’t want to get kicked out so I don’t care what I have to do or how tired I get.
I’m going to pass my classes. (PULLS HAIR!!!)

The topic of race is so controversial topic. We live in a world where everyone is afraid to speak their minds. We shaped our words to fit the person we are talking to. It appears that at the least Americans are fluent in English and bullshit.

Nothing worst than an individual who is afraid to speak their mind. What makes us afraid to be us?

I really have a hard time finding hard news sites that relate to me. I am addicted to the blog format. I check Concrete Loop and Necole Bitchie everyday because I enjoy the writing styles and the layouts of the websites.

But those are sites for entertainment news, where I can find mainstream and hard news online? ons?

Too close to home

So, my 14 year old nephew has a Facebook like most children nowadays. One day, I was stalking his page, even though he blocked me months ago (long story) and in his status he mentioned one of his former teachers was arrested.

So I go to Google News, search the teacher’s name, and article on the Mercury newspaper website popped up.

Apparently, the teacher is being accused of inappropriate activities with a male student.

It was the same teacher that gave my nephew a hard time in class. My nephew always thought he was creepy, especially with him rocking the Bieber way before Justin.

The situation leads me to two questions: How often are kids right about people? How often can kids see something you don’t see?

If you read the title, you know exactly what this blog is going to be about.

I am enrolled in Journ 5002 course at Temple University. It is one of my better courses but the professor requires the students to tweet and blog which sucks because I am a random person.

However, the requirement has created my new mission in life. (Sad life, I know. That is why grad. school is for suckas.)

Starting today, my new mission is to tweet three times a day and blog once a day for the next 8 weeks. Follow me on my mission.

When did news conversations become so serious?

Last time I checked news can be either hard or soft. But when we discuss the news in class, all we talk about is the hard news. Sorry, I like to read about Soulja Boy and Kat Stacks or Lyfe Jennings. I know it is important inform yourself but the news is depressing sometimes you need a relief.

Let me be your relief.

Some may say “maybe you should provide a soft news example for discussion.” However, how do to follow up a serious discussion about the First Lady with a discussion on Lindsay Lohan being bailed out of jail. Class discussion should represent each section of the news, not just A1.

My name is Tiana and I am a graduate student at Temple University.

Here you will read about my attempts to graduate from Temple University‘s Master of Journalism program. In my brief search of the internet a.k.a. google, I could not find any blogs that detailed the life and times of a graduate student. So here I am, the guinea pig.
